IDE-Fantasy v0.2: Hokkaido - Corfu, Ooasa Lantern Festival

Ioannis Zannos, Professor of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts, presented the IDE FANTASY project on Saturday 11/09/2021. The project includes the presentation-performance of a telematic dance between Greece and Japan (Corfu-Sapporo) in the context of the Lantern Festival, which is organized in Ooasa (Japan).

The performance was carried out with the simultaneous collaboration of artists and researchers from: the Department of Audio Visual Arts, the Garage 21 Performing Arts Centre, the Hokkaido Information University, and the Genius Loci Traveled Ebetsu cultural center, with a live webcast of the dancers' data.

This Japanese holiday is inspired by the traditional eastern autumn lantern-flying festivals and is dedicated to the memory of the 2018 Hokkaido earthquake.
